Fondens mål är att generera långsiktig kapitaltillväxt genom exponering mot bolag belägna på frontiermarknader världen över. Ett långsiktigt perspektiv, grundläggande analys och fokus på aktivt val av aktier är tre grundstenar i East Capitals investeringsfilosofi. Fonden ska investera åtminstone 75 procent av sina tillgångar direkt eller indirekt i aktier eller aktierelaterade värdepapper i bolag belägna på frontiermarknader eller som bedriver en väsentlig del av sin ekonomiska verksamhet där. Frontiermarknader definieras som mindre framskridna och mindre åtkomliga tillväxtmarknadsländer som ingår i index relaterade till frontiermarknader. Fonden får även investera i alla länder som klassificeras som tillväxtmarknader, eller på alla andra marknader som ännu inte klassificerats som frontiermarknader, men som enligt investeringsförvaltarens åsikt uppvisar samma ekonomiska egenskaper som de länder som ingår i index relaterade till frontiermarknader.

Biografi | Peter, a Swedish national, is a founding partner of East Capital, acting today as Head of the Investment team. Peter devised, set up and implemented East Capital’s investment philosophy and strategy, which he continues to oversee. Peter has worked with Eastern European markets since the early nineties. He frequently visits companies across the East Capital investment universe. He is a member of the Boards of the Swedish-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Bonnier Business Press AB as well as the Advisory Board of Stena Long Term Equity. Prior to East Capital, Peter held a series of senior positions at Enskilda Securities in London, Paris and Stockholm – where his last role was as Head of Equities and Global Head of Research. Peter has been awarded with the Golden Star for best Fund Manager five times by Morningstar and Sweden’s largest financial daily Dagens Industri, as well as numerous Lipper awards for the performance of the funds that he manages together with his multi-cultural teams based in Hong Kong, Moscow and Stockholm. East Capital Russia, the flagship fund, was the best performing publicly traded fund of the decade 2000-2009 returning 1565% (USD, Source: Morningstar). Peter is a board member of various East Capital entities, Bonnier Business Press and Inter Peace Sweden, a supervisory board member of Atlantic Grupa in Croatia (ATGR-R-A), an advisory board member of Stena Long Term Equity and chairman of the board of the Swedish Music Hall of Fame. Prior to founding East Capital, Peter held a series of senior positions at Enskilda Securities in London, Paris and Stockholm, where his last role was Head of Equities and Global Head of Research. Biografi | Emre, a Turkish national, joined the East Capital Research Team after finishing his studies at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) in March 2006. Specialising in finance, he completed a Master of Science program at the SSE with the support of the highly competitive Swedish Institute Scholarship. Before that, Emre graduated from the Business Administration Department of Bosphorus University in Istanbul, in 2004. He previously worked as a summer intern at the financial audit department of Deloitte&Touche and at the research department of Yatirim Finansman Securities in Turkey. He speaks fluent Turkish and English. Emre is a CFA charterholder. |
